Happy 14th National Etiquette Week!
Did you know that this week is the 14th annual Etiquette Week?
It is, and if you are an etiquette trainer, I hope you are taking advantage of it by posting daily etiquette tips, holding open houses, and sending press releases to your local news outlets.
You can also take advantage of Etiquette Week at home. For instance, talk about one etiquette topic every night this week at dinner.
Of course, every week should be Etiquette Week! The founder of this tradition didn't start Etiquette Week just to spread good table manners. She did it to encourage a more civil and respectful society. That's really the essence of etiquette, and I am thankful to her for taking a stand and making etiquette more visible in our world.
Keep this tradition alive, to the point where we don't even need a separate week devoted to etiquette, because kids, teens, and adults embody the principles of respect, good habits, and proper manners.
